this picture is amazing, the lighting, the details, the colour!! the only mistaque is the hard light in the buttons. but beside that is perfect i am going to draw it
While the contrast here enables one to see all of his wrinkles and lines and the interesting life he must have lived to cause them, I think the depth of field is slightly overdone here -- he looks plastic. It might be the arrangements of lights as well. if you have one light just slightly to one side of you (eg to your left) and another at maybe 60 degrees to your right but not as full force, maybe there would be realism captured. I recognise that you are just shooting in environments "as is" and that lighting setups can be intimidating and ruin the naturalness and comfort for the subjects, but locations/windows can help?
Also, I find the framing disappointing in this one. I am totally impressed with the vast majority of what I have seen so far, but this very central framing is almost "boring" in one sense. (I recognise that this is not your standard framing.)
