There is a monumental quality to the man here. But a monument is static, and the smoke puffing from the man's mouth gives him the kinetic energy of a railroad locomotive. A very powerful and dramatic image overall.

I love that you have the ability to make these strangers seem completely at ease with you. Like you have known them for quite some time to get an expression which allows to viewer to think that you have indeed known them for awhile.
