The floating hat in the background against an expression that fails to resolve whether the subject knows its there . . . makes this work very well for me.

I like the elements here!! it's like everything's floating and the lights has a kind of dreamy effect, like it's her dress up world. It's like deep into her abyss, haha, of her world.

Hey BenoitPaille! the portrait you took of the nude man is really moving (I see the photo a lot of times and never get tired!). Is an inspiration for me, I wish someday I could take a portrait like that :D

there's another way...
if you ask someone and you get a "no" for an answer, you can also take photos without them knowing about it.

do as if you were fiddling around with the camera controls, and while doing this, turn the camera at the subject for a second, and take a shot. do it over and over again until you have something satisfying.
it has worked for me many many times.

my advice is: the worst that can happen to you is "no".

you won't be any worse for that, and chances are that people will be happy that someone in interested in them, except maybe some teenage girls that will be too shy.

You're right, if people don't like it and say "no" I just walk away :) By the way, taking photos without people realizing it... I tried it a lot of times but at the last moment I stop because I think they're gonna hear the sound of the camera and it'll be embarrasing O_O

Anyway, I think I feel more confident now, this week I'm gonna try my first street portrait!! hahaha! thanks for the advices! :D :D :D
