An astoundingly powerful portrait! I really love the tones of this image, the soft muted green background adds to the poignancy of the portrait. I rated the image quite low on originality, purely because dA already has a lot of portraits with similar subjects, striking freckled girls with brilliant eyes - but by no means is that meant to undermine your take on the subject as this is an exceptional example. I love the honesty of this image - she is wearing casual clothes, her skin has not been Photoshopped to remove the freckles and the passport photo-like composition of the image all reflect your straightforward style as a photographer who does not try to exploit his subjects or conform to contemporary values of beauty.

It's rare that you can find a beauty that is as raw as this. Here you have a girl, gorgeous in her simplicity. A bare face with but a tiny amount of ornaments in the form of mascara and eyeliner, light lipgloss, and little hoop earrings. Her statement is not that of radiant eyeshadow or high polished hair clips but of hundreds of dotted freckles all on her portrait and the unspoken skin disappearing from view under a blurred gray sweatshirt. The vibrant eyes that reflect an enchanting world shine brightly to the viewers enhancing the brown speckles. One must wonder of the nature the dots hold. A close look with squinted eyes could revel second guesses or only a natural beauty bestowed on a lone female. Those bunched up viewing eyes can see individual qualities in all peoples, creases around her own stunning eyes, tiny pin needle pores and black heads, a cheek that notes a laughing spirit, and a deep yellow iris to make the unnatural shades of its kin around the world jealous.
