Nearly all 3d CG of a quality approaching this uses textures generated from real people, made from photography. There is not a world of difference between, photography and virtual models except resolution, sculpting skill and computer power. Having said that I haven't seen any 3d work any where as sharp as this. Spectacular and inspiring work!
Wow. I was left speechless when I went up to 5616x3159. The details is amazing. Those eyes are penetrating up close like that. I can't think the last time I'd seen a shot like this. I don't know what you shot this with, but I want one!
Dude do you work with some game company? I'm very curious to hear if you know when the next gen will come out. Like I know that the next xbox 720 will most likely only be announced at the end of this year. Do you know when it will really come out?
Whats the watts, ram, cpu, and grahics gigs that you need to render out something like this? Can you help me out, i'm in school studying this stuff and it would be badass to know. I want to make stuff like this.
Last question - Did you model it in Maya first or did you use the default preset in Mudbox or ZBrush and model it from there? If so, what level did you do it in?
